2.5-Ton Battery Mine Locomotive and ZQ-13 Rock Loader Shipped to South America

2026-10-09

HNYT has dispatched a shipment featuring its 2.5-ton battery mine locomotive and ZQ-13 pneumatic rock loader to a mining customer in South America. The equipment features a custom extra-narrow track gauge to suit the customer's mine conditions. Working with the mine's existing 1 m³ wagons, the locomotive and loader form part of an underground loading and rail haulage system that has already been used at the customer's operation for years.

ApplicationUnderground rock loading and rail haulage

The key requirement for this shipment was compatibility with the customer's existing track. Matching the equipment to that extra-narrow gauge allows the loading and haulage stages to work within the same rail system. The ZQ-13 handles rock loading, while the battery mining locomotive provides traction for the wagon train. Full model information is available on the official product pages linked below.

From workshop preparation to truck loading

The workshop photographs document the equipment before dispatch and during loading onto a road truck. One view shows the yellow locomotive with its wheel assemblies and coupling visible, while another shows the ZQ-13 with protective film around the machine and timber supports beneath the wheels. These views record the actual equipment prepared for the South American shipment.

The truck-loading photographs show the wrapped loader positioned on the cargo bed, with wooden crates arranged around the equipment. Green securing straps, timber supports and protective wrapping are visible in the loading views. HNYT markings on several crates identify the factory's packed cargo, while a worker is present during the loading process.

Together, the images show how the shipment was prepared and brought together for road transport: the main equipment, protective packaging and crated items can all be seen at the factory. The photographs document dispatch preparation; the customer's operating experience described below relates to the loading and haulage system already in use at its mine.

A loading and haulage combination already used underground

According to the project information, the ZQ-13 can fill one of the customer's 1 m³ mine wagons in about one minute under the site's operating conditions. The 2.5-ton battery mine locomotive can haul more than ten fully loaded wagons in a single train at this operation. These figures describe the customer's application; loading time and train size depend on material, air supply, wagon weight, gradient, track condition and braking requirements.

For this customer, the value lies in coordinating the two stages. The pneumatic shovel loader loads the wagons, and the underground mining locomotive moves the loaded train along the mine railway. This combination of loader, locomotive and mine wagons has been used at the site for years. The custom gauge in the latest shipment follows that established arrangement, keeping the equipment selection focused on the mine's actual loading and transport conditions.
