How to find out the cause of electrolyte leakage of battery electric locomotive?

There are only a few common problems with batteries for electric locomotive batteries, one of which is liquid leakage. Leakage seems to be nothing to listen to the name, but the problems that may be caused are not small. If electric sparks appear on the surface of the battery, improper handling may even directly scrap the battery. So how to check whether the battery is leaking? Or after finding the leak, how to find the cause of the leak?

Checking whether the battery is leaking can be divided into four steps:

1. Visual inspection. See if the battery casing is damaged for various reasons, allowing the electrolyte to flow out. If there is, replace and repair, if not, go to the next step.

2. Check whether the safety valve is damaged, and the treatment method is the same as above.

3. If you still can't find the reason for the leakage, you can perform an air tightness test to check whether there are too hidden or minor damages that you didn't notice before.

4. You can observe it while charging to see if it is just because of excessive liquid addition.
